Sequoia Trees
Besties,
I’m writing to you all from the car as we drive down the 5 back home from our trip up North. We unexpectedly took a road trip to see the Sequoia Trees today. Abe has been planning to take us to see the trees for a while now but plans always fall through. To my surprise the trees are up in the mountains. Call me uneducated but as a Texas Native, I know very little about these giant trees. Comical I know Girl!!!
So as we’re entering the national park I was like “oh I really didn’t think this through. I thought we were just pulling up and walking into the woods. No Mija! It’s a whole T R I P. It did use a lot of battery power on the Tesla to go up but coming down it didn’t cost us any battery power going back down hill thankfully.
How can I describe the trees? It has to be one of the most beautiful creations I’ve ever witnessed.
To be honest we spent an hour going up hill and our intentions were to see The Sherman Oak and then when we got close we couldn’t find the exact location. We had no GPS or connectivity in the woods. We were relying on the map for the most part. Then of course someone had to go to the bathroom! So we just picked a random spot Abe pulled over dropped us off to go to the bathrooms. Because there’s no parking lots he had to find a spot off the trail to pull over and park the hiked down to where we were. In case you’re not from California or Well Traveled there’s not parking lots up there folks. There are a few parking spots that are reserved close to the trails for Handicap only. So we hiked for about 20 minutes.
It took us an hour to get back down and there was a ferocious mini van riding on our tail for the majority of the trip down.
Then Levi announces “what if one of these trees just fall on us while we were driving mom” so that was a perfect way to end the T R I P.
until next week Besties, Besos from the Sequoia National Park XoXo
