Tickets to The Comeback Show

Ye Live @ SoFi 03.01.26

Ye Live @ SoFi 04.01.26

Before I was standing in SoFi Stadium w/ red leather boots waiting for Ye to come on can we rewind to 24 hours prior?

First of all, I was having a casual Tuesday evening in my TanLines matching athleisure Set trying to pencil in last minute Easter Activities with another mom when I got a call from Abe. He’s like “So long story short, I have tickets that were gifted by Vettix for Ye’s Show at SoFi tomorrow” Me: “Abe, I’m trying to map out Easter Activities right now can this wait?”

Veterans this is your REMINDER take advantage of VETTIX!

I literally came home and was like are messing with me or is this real?! Going to see Ye Live was not on my bingo card for 2026 B U T it’s definitely been on my bucket list FOREVER. It’s also been on mine and Abe’s bucket list to see him perform live forever too. I still remember us swimming in bottles and diapers cooped up in our German Apartment with an infant watching all of his music videos on YouTube. Talkin about how one day we have to go see him perform LIVE.

So, What’s a G I R L to do with 24 hours to prepare for Ye Live with minimal things in her closet?! Use AMAZON Prime next day delivery and hope what you ordered fits and checks out. So for the girls because I know yall are going to ask! I wanted to go for thigh high boots w/ an oversized shirt and biker shorts. I ended up pulling my Wrst Bhvr Shirt a Brand from Berlin and threw on biker shorts and the only thing I needed was boots.

So obviously I knew everyone would be in all black. When I was visualizing what I was going to wear I had this idea to have red boots. We love a fire engine red! I came across the SLEEKEST Boots that ate down on Amazon Prime next day delivery. I ordered a size 7 then survived off hope a prayer it was come in time! Super comfy, Sleek ordered a size 7 normally wear a size 6.5 and they fit my big calves. Lately it’s hard for me to wear knee high boots because my calves are so big but these didn’t give issues.

Ye’s stage design from his LA show at SoFi was outta this world. I was speechless and am still trying to process it TBH. It was definitely a Cinderella moment 😂 we were there and then we were quickly back to being Mom&Dad and jumping into our Corporate 9-5 preparing for meetings and checking off last minute tasks for Spring Break plans..lookin at each other like were we really there?!

Show D I S C U S S I O N

Part of me was always sad I didn’t see him perform live when The Life of Pablo dropped. The way I listened to that album and it pulled me through the end of my 20s. BUT Bully as his Comeback and this Set Design ATE DOWN and left Zero Crumbs.

Andre Troutman killed it in the Show.

Ye really did pause the show to ask production is this an SNL Skit? What’s with the lights… Make the world stop turning so fast • It was GULLY

We were throwing bets on who would make an appearance and I was really hoping My Bestie, Northie would show up. Watching Kanye HUG his H E R after she performed made me tear up. As the oldest and a female it warmed my heart to see that.

Laguna Beach

Urth Caffé in Laguna Beach but also it was my first time in Laguna since moving to SoCal!

Alexa “cue when the comes down by Hilary Duff”

On Thursday last week, we were debating on what our weekend plans were and with the Laguna Beach 20 Year Reunion coming up it seemed appropriate to hit Laguna now! So that’s where I was last Saturday!

I was sixteen when the show came out on MTV. It was such an Iconic show! Every week my friends and I had watch parties. Did anyone else do this?! I’ve always had a crush on Cali which seems odd to my family being that we are from North Texas. So for me to live down the road from Laguna now, well let’s just say the irony is not lost on me.

So here’s everything we did of course I stalked the parking situation before we went because of the back to the beach podcast 😂 episode with the iconic love triangle. So we went to Lot 16 and took the blue trolley downtown. The last trolley from Lot 16 to downtown takes off at 6:52ish I believe so if you’re traveling to Laguna be sure to note that.

We immediately hit up Urth Caffé where I ordered two Blended Matchas Strawberry & Aloha if I’m being to honest Aloha did not hit but the Strawberry Matcha was 10/10. If you’re looking for something that’s doused in sugar and high in calories this is not the spot for you. Everything was earthy, clean eating and low calorie based. After that we walked to Treasure Beach to check out the tide pools and before we knew it was time to catch the trolley. A short day trip but well worth it to drive down PCH and take a break from the LBC.

the unpolished dish from a Texas Native. I think Levi said it best when we pulled up to Treasure Island. Are we in Hawaii?! I have a lot of respect for the community out there it’s beyond anything you could visualize from a postcard. Pure beauty, art community is big sculptures and a lot of small art galleries, but Kristins broken Trooper was no where to be found! I cannot wait to go back for a-longer visit!

If you made it this far let me know in the comments below if you were Team LC or Team Kristin?!

Cheers Besties!

Buckle Up for a New Wellness Routine

Get in Loser we’re taking Wellness Shots

I’m serving SHOTS on a Marble Platter..Wellness Shots. lol

BESTIES, we have a little over 90ish days till Summer officially hits and if you’re reading this post from SoCal then it already feels like summer is here TBH.

So, I’ve had some inflammation in my face it’s been ongoing for quite a while TBH. Also, for years I’ve struggled with stress acne in my 30s but since switching to my new collagen creamer Jaavy it has cleared for the most part but there are still days where I see a pimple Or two. But of course like a normal woman in her 30s juggling all the things but with summer around the corner and me rebranding my health I am trying out new wellness routines.

So let’s Keep It Simple Mija (KISM) Half a lemon and it doesn’t need to be organic, BUT make sure you are buying REAL OLIVE Oil. Most Olive Oils aren’t 100% but Whole Foos 365 100% California Small Batch and can we be bought at your local Whole Foods. Pour into a cute shot glass and take it first thing in the AM about 30 minutes before breakfast.

Courtney’s Wellness Routine: 2-3 times a week on an empty stomach first thing in the AM • 30 minutes before breakfast

Wellness Benefits: stimulates digestion system, boosts energy levels, skin glow up, liver detox, supports heart health, hair health, improved focus, sleep benefits

Is my Olive Oils Pure? Test your Olive Oil yourself at home. Put it in the fridge over night and if it hardens it’s real Olive Oil and if it doesn’t harden then it means that it’s been compromised with seed oils. You will pay about over 10 Dollars for real Olive Oil. Also, it needs to be said Olive Oil has a lot of health benefits. Let me know if you want another blog post and I’ll fill you in on all the details..

Let me know in the comments below if you’ll be trying this Wellness Trend w/ me in the comments below ⬇️

Little Tokyo in LA Eats

DTLA • Japanese Plaza Village • Eats, Finds & More!

Chat, if you follow me on TT @unpolishedtheblog8 than you know I was just in Little Tokyo in DTLA! This little Tejana was in complete AWE too! Mira, W H A T and where even are we right now! I was in LOVE and thankful all at the same time to have and share that experience with my boys. But if you want to know more about what that trip was like make sure that you go to my TikTok @unpolishedtheblog8 to catch my vlog! Also drop me a ❤️ if you’re coming from the BLOG so I can get to know you! 😉

Okayyyy, Let’s Yap about WHAT I ATE while we were in Little Tokyo in DTLA! First up was the Red Bean Cake also known as Imagawayaki and for those who are like ok, girl what is a Red Bean Cake. It’s pinto beans mixed with sugar in what I would described as a fluffy light bread cake. I didn’t grow up eating beans like that but I am so down for it. Literally y’all I’m like so when are we going back to Little Tokyo so I can get another Red Bean Cake. They’re made HOT N’ READY too! You know how Krispy Kreme claims they have HOT N’ READY Donuts but we all know they haven’t been living up to that slogan since 1999 😂. They’re the real deal!

MONZO • We decided to stay for dinner and I ended up doing a random google search for a ramen spot and landed on a a HandMade Udon Noodle Spot. It was a Michelin Star Restaurant called MONZO! This was our first Michelin Star Restaurant and we aren’t really Michelin Star People it’s not something we aim for when dining out. But this spot definitely lived up to the hype online and the wait time was about 15 minutes it’s a small spot and they accepted us walking up on a Sunday night. You can even sit at the bar where you can watch them hand-make the noodles. We even tried a Matcha IPA..W H A T LMK in the comments if you’ve had a Matcha IPA before please & thank you!

also can we talk about the fried chicken?! O M G I can never eat fried chicken anywhere else after this outing. TopTier

My Order:

Duck Nanban Udon

Matcha IPA

Octopus Balls

Fried Chicken (the side sauces/spices are everything)

Birthday Girl Courtney Deluna Birthday Girl Courtney Deluna

Excuse me, it’s MY Birthday ! 🎂 ✨

Chat 💬, I L O V E my Birthday and when I was kid I honestly thought it was a Holiday. So as an adult I treat it as such. Very unapologetically because I work hard 364 days out of the year all I ask is for one day. So T H I R T Y - SEVEN started off with an early wake up call for a DryBar Appointment at 7:30 AM for a Beauty BlowOut. Shout out to my SIL who was super rad and booked me a BlowOut!!! It was my first time heading into the DryBar here in SoCal! The Staff was super personable and made me feel so welcome. I don’t frequent DryBar a lot so I was nervous walking in. But, my SIL didn’t tell me was that she booked me a TopTier Stylist!!! I was with Norma and she was incredible she immediately gave me a warm welcome and there was a Mimosa waiting for me when we sat down to run through my hair consultation. (post request of course) When we went back for a wash I also received a scalp massage and T H E BLOWOUT was everything! 🤏🏽✨ Mija, one good blowout and you feel like you can concur the world! Matter of fact I’m dropping her IG Handle if you’re in the SoCal Area hit her up IG: @hairby_aime

Once the BlowOut was secured I headed back into the LBC. Did I mentioned my birthday is a national holiday so of course my husband took off! 😉 As soon as I entered my lobby the concierge let me know I had a FTD Delivery and waiting inside the box was the most beautiful bouquet of flowers! My parents sent them all the way from Tejas! After we arranged the bouquet we were off! We skated thru the Long Beach Museum of Art to gawk at the Robert Williams Exhibit. We’ve seen a few of his pieces throughout Long Beach but to see his exhibit was another level. Then we headed to Claire’s At The Museum for a Birthday Brunch Oceanside of course. Everything we ordered definitely hit for the Birthday Vibes.

To top off my B I R T H D A Y we watched the sunset as a family by bonfire with a at Home Happy Hour. I requested Dirty Martinis and Papi delivered a beautiful spread. Also, the BLOWOUT held up like a C H A M P! Cake was made by Marilu’s Bakery in Cambodia Town! IG @marilusbbakery Can we talk about these CHIC Glasses though? They were found a thrift store on 4th Street in Long Beach and were priced at $4.00 a glass 😱 Yes Girl Yes! Love a good thrift find 🤏🏽✨

Thank you to everyone who sent me Birthday Wishes! Still floating on Cloud Nine “Pisces Thangs”

Here’s to THIRTY-SEVEN!

International Women’s Day

Get in we’re celebrating International Women’s Day!

Happy International Women’s Day 🌍✨

To the incredible women who’ve crossed my path military sisters, fellow moms, bosses who became mentors, friends who listened without judgment, thank you.

You’ve guided me toward what felt authentic to me, not some boxed-in version society pushes. You’ve sat with me through the chaos: postpartum overseas, choosing work over ‘traditional’ expectations, building a family like a rocket launch with zero prep manual.

You’ve shown me that lifting each other up doesn’t dim our own light but it makes us all brighter.

Empowered women empower women. Grateful to give and gain every single day.

Drop a heart ❤️ if we’ve connected through life or social media so I can say hi back!

Love always Your UnPolished Bestie!

UnPolished Closet Sale

I hosted a Closet Sale in SouthBay LA! Read to more to see the details of what actually went down. Besos, XoXo

Girls, I had a C L O S E T Sale! In case you missed me yapping about it on IG subtle plug @unpolishedtheblog if you’re not following then go ahead and hit the follow button now..I’ll wait for it 😉 no but really hit follow so I can follow back D U H!

So how did we get here?! Let s p i l l! As ya’ll know we just actually moved all of stuff from the Mile High City to South Bay LA 😝🤏🏽✨ and we went from a house to an apartment and mama had to clean out her Millenial Closet! Is there anything more sad than coming to the realization that you’re in your mid thirties and it’s time to reset your closet?! Because MIJA some of those clothes are from your twenties in that closet. (Sarcasm with facts) My sisters always tell me I’m a clothes hoarder so it was definitely time. I filled up to large bags of clothes and priced everything for a dollar. So it was a garage sale but make it CHIC&SAVVY call it a closet sale! And it wasn’t just any closet sale it was a Millennial Vintage Sale and everything was priced at $1.00 Mija! “Todo uno dolar” And because everything I do has to be fun and major even it’s meeting a small budget requirement I had a clothing rack, infused waters, Italian hard candies and a Bluetooth Speaker that Abe surprised me with the day of and it was beige of course! It was such a party and I had the chance to connect with some really cool locals and ended up emptying my first bag within the first two hours. The people I met were amazing and heard quite a bit of good T E A! The ages ranged to from early 20s to late 30s. Everyone L O V E D the infused water too. Which made my little heart so happy! Check out my TikTok for the details of the water @unpolishedtheblog8 . Other than having my clothing rack out, music, and yapping while drinking our infused waters I also had a questionnaire out for the locals asking questions like “Coffee or Matcha?” “Where is your favorite spot in the LBC” “Where would you recommend I visit in California?” Fun Questions like that and of course I had the cutest sign out with a QR Code for the B L O G and last there were complimentary UnPolishedtheBlog stickers for customers and other fun stickers that were out as freebies!

One thing about me is that it’s always been quality over quantity! I do spend some coins when it comes to my closet and that’s why my clothes last forever and I always repeat outfits! So I had clothes out from Nordstroms, Urban Outfitters, TopShop, LuLus, H&M, Zara’s, and then brands like Champion, Vans, Tori Burch, North Face, and Obey.

Gen Z • if there is anything I can leave you with is invest in your closet! In my twenties while all the girls were chasing cheap $10 dollar jeans from forever 21 and had new outfits every friday&saturday night we were out..I was saving my coins to splurge on my time capsule closet before it was even a thing on social media. That’s how my closet lasted me from my 20s into my 30s!

So, needless to say it was fun and I can’t wait to host another event within my SouthBay LA Community!

Well Chat! That’s what I have for today also it’s my MUH Birthday and I’m writing this entire post from DryBar in Torrance, CA while my girl Norma does my hair!! Catch ya laters my out of office reply is up on Outlook and I have a birthday to enjoy.

Stay Gold, Besos from SouthBay LA 😉

OBEY WareHouse Sale

Girl, get in we’re going to my first Warehouse Sale at Alternative Retail! We don’t subscribe to gatekeeping here so you know I’m about to dish everything out to you!

Xoxo, UnPolished.

Besties,

I went to an Obey Warehouse Sale at Alternative Retail and I’m taking you with me behind the scenes of my experience.

I’ve always heard about Warehouse and Sample Sales but I’ll be so HONEST with you guys I had no idea WTH that was until two weeks ago. LoL I’m just being honest!

who else is with me?! anyone?! LMK in the comment section below ⬇️

Mija, when we got in there I was like “OMG!” It was clothing overload for my ADHD Brain!!!

Here’s 5 things to note

1) Alternative Retail hosts new brands weekly

2) Sale Prices are usually 50% or more off from the originally marked price. It’s last season or slightly damaged at times. It wasn’t super packed or uncomfortable getting around when I went and everything was neatly organized. They had men’s, and women’s clothing, sunglasses, hats, gear, bags, even though Obey was advertised for that week there were other brands of items outside of clothing.

3) Follow on IG @alternativeretail for their brand announcements and they’ll have a link on their page to sign up for free tickets to visit the warehouse

4) Locations: Tustin and Santa Ana, California

5) Is it worth it?! Mija, in this ECONOMY?! Sí!!!!! Overall, the experience was super positive and it was hella fun!

I will be doing a haul vlog soon on my TikTok Account @unpolishedtheblog8 so make sure you’re already following me so don’t miss out!

Happy Saint Valentine’s Day

Saint Valentines Day ♥️ Love Letter

Besties,

It’s been another busy week balancing all the t h i n g s. Does anyone else feel like Valentine’s came fast this year? Ya girl was clearly not ready this holiday! If you saw on my IG Stories last night (@unpolishedtheblog) picked up a .99 Card from Trader Joe’s and $2.00 heart balloons from Five and Below. We have a long weekend this weekend so I am looking forward to getting some down with my boys. Do you have something planned?! Girl, let me know in the comments below what you’re up to for Valentines

Here’s my take on the “overly commercialized holiday”

Saint Valentines Day but make it UnPolished. Break the rules Mija and let go of being t r a d i t i o n a l. I’ve always written my own rules for the holiday. Spend it alone, spend it with someone you love or someone’s you love. Put your own spin on it and break all forms of tradition if you need to. It’s 2 0 2 6 we can hold our own on this holiday!

Wishing you all a Beautiful, Lovely, Luxurious Saint Valentines Day from the West Coast!

Love you, Dolls

Besties, a section dedicated to “Where I was last” so I can have one location to D I S H about everything.

Besties, I am so excited to D I S H to you all about how I got an invite to the +LUX UnFILTERED Galentines. Honestly, I’m just a girl and I’m such a girls girl and when I saw their Galentines announcement for the Re-Brand on IG I screamed!!! DRAMATIC much?! Maybe or maybe I’ve just been reading +LUX UnFILTERED T H E BLOG long before it was a Beauty Brand! Ya girl has been following Sivan Ayla SINCE 2 0 1 3 on IG and that was how I found her BLOG. So, that’s how I ended up screaming in my living room when I saw their Galentines Announcement. I immediately RSVP’d and received confirmation.

+LUX UnFILTERED Galentines OOTD Details

Jacket @Zara Jeans @Zara Bodysuite @Vuori

Here’s the UnPolished DISH behind me attending my first event as a BLOGGeR! First, the details behind my FIT! I had no idea what I was going to where and I currently have no makeup. Yes, I said that LoL! Mija, listen I’m budgeting for my retirement and I’m not apologizing about that. So I ordered an outfit from Amazon that did not deliver in time and without stressing I ran to my closet and picked out all the beige and browns I could find and committed to the fit. Then I drove to Ulta and picked up three items for makeup. If this was me in my 20s the storyline would of hit wayyyy different 😂

I waited in line for over an hour to get into this event. I ended up meeting someone standing in line who was attending alone too. We ended up hanging out the entire night and as I mentioned in my IG Stories (@unpolishedtheblog) I’m the New Girl in Town and it was just nice to have a chance to yap with another girlie! When we got into the event first of the AESTHETIC! The Girls ate down with this event. 😮‍💨 The entire night was based on the Re-Brand of their products. It was the perfect Galentines! They had tables to Yap, a bar with wine and sparkling waters and their collection to sample and shop. Mija, I was so overwhelmed at first I didn’t know where to start or what to do! Also, it’s the Mexican in me growing up I was always told to be on my best behavior before we went anywhere. 🤣 But, when I got in I was like do I vlog, photograph or take it all in?! Then I was so nervous I didn’t know if you could touch anything. lol I think I may have missed out on some aesthetic matches. But all in all the night was perfect!

Sunless Tanner • Summer Skin Classic

This is not my lane but if I was a girl that used sunless tanner this is the brand I would be loyal to! Girls, this product was voted 2024 Best Beauty Award Winner from Allure Magazine!

It runs for $42.00

Sunlit Santal • Eau De Parfum

It definitely smelled like summer. If you’ve never shopped with +LuxUnfiltered then you should know that their scents are always delicious. One bottles runs for $88.00

Vanilla Caviar • Fountain of Youth Hand Cream

Let me tell you how serious I am about their products. When I was living in Denver my skin was so scaley..gross I know but it’s so d r y out there. Her products were the only ones I could find that kept my skin nice and hydrated. I was so excited to sample the hand cream!

This bottle will cost you $26.00

Smoothing Lip TintsBeauté

The box alone had me all googly eyed. I’m not going to lie I was so nervous at the event I didn’t go hands in on the lip tints but I know they’re solid!

They go for $76.00

Sivan Ayla • Co-Founder of +Lux UnFiltered

Ok girls! I’ve been following Sivan on IG and reading +LUX UnFILTERED since then too. A time was had girlies! She was so genuine and sweet! I was really awe struck when you’ve been following someone for that long it really is surreal getting to meet them. Her BlOG is what inspired me to start my own. But of course I had to pull myself together long enough to pick her brain about the future of my writing. I’m so thankful she did not hold back and dropped some gems for me.

WHAT I BOUGHT? • Fountain of Youth Hand Cream

So was it worth the two hour drive from the LBC to La Jolla on a School Nigjht?!

Yes Mija!!!

I walked away with my Fountain of Youth Hand Cream and I can’t wait to use their new scent Vanilla Caviar.

Well, that was the first week of February while living out here in SoCal! Let’s see what next week brings! I hope you all have a beautiful, relaxing weekend.

Real Barbacoa Tacos

Where to get R E A L Barbacoa Tacos

Mija, I think we can all agree it’s felt like a L O N G week. So, to have the privilege of sitting at a table today with my family enjoying a Mexican Meal made me feel extremely grateful.

Today, we ventured out to a Taco Spot called LALO’S and I ate R E A L Barbacoa Tacos. Never in my life have I ever had R E A L Barbacoa Tacos. Honestly, the ones I’ve had in the past weren’t good so I just don’t typically order Barbacoa anymore. Growing up at the Top of Texas as a mixed kid..well Mija, I think that was something that just slipped through the cracks in my home. 😂 If it wasn’t Menudo, Sopa De Albondigas or Breakfast Burritos then it was straight up American food on my dinner table. LOL So they brought out three types of meat Lamb Barbacoa, Pancita and Pancita Marinated. Then I was told to grab the grab the fresh corn tortillas to pick up the meat. I M E A N, talk about a fish out of water/feeling like that 25% of my other culture. 😂 Goodness, I felt like a stranger to my other side. It was definitely an experience though. The condiments were white onions and cilantro and a side of purple onions and they were juicy and spicy! So then the C O N S U M E came out and it’s like a Broth for those of you who are like what is she even talking about right now. Then we dipped the tacos in the Consume and I was told to eat it before it gets cold to get the best taste. Listen, Mija this place is a must try! Add it to your Bucketlist because the tacos did not disappoint. I added the address in the blog post too.

Let’s talk about the drinks! We had FRESH Melon Juice and Soursop. Listen, Mija..what is even that?! I had to do a quick google while I was drinking that juice like a it was a Dr. Pepper. It was absolutely delicious! You know what I love about getting juice at a Mexican Restaurant it’s REAL. I also ordered a cafecito. Since, moving back to the States after living overseas I’m a High Maintenance Coffee Girly. But this cup of coffee was ⛽️ GAS! It came out black with a side of goats milk. So I took a sip of the coffee and it was so sweet and tasted like cinnamon. Mija, I’ll be honest I was almost laid out in the floor with that cup of coffee. You know what I liked too it was just a good cup of coffee. None of the extra fancy stuff either. Just a damn good cup of coffee!

My order:

•Soursop Juice

•Coffee

•Lamb Barbacoa

•Pancita

•Marinated Pancita

•Consume

Mija, LMK where you get your Barbacoa from in the comments below! ⬇️

New Year Old Habits

Besties, I’m back this week! Instead of giving you the final updates on our M O V E, I’m sharing with you all the H A B I T S I’m bringing into 2026!

buckle up, let’s get into this! I knew walking into the new year I wanted to establish a good foundation of healthy habits to kick things off for a successful year. I wear a lot of hats throughout my normal day to day. And, I’ll be honest a lot of my routine and healthy habits have been slacking lately…

1) MOUTHTAPE! Everything starts with a good nights rest. As we’ve been unpacking I found my MouthTape. If you’re new here I am obsessed with using MouthTape to sleep. I wrote a blog post about it, “The one about MouthTape” (STALK it Later!)

2) M A N T R A! Everyday I wake up the first thing I do is grab my prayer beads and chant my morning Mantras. If you would have told the 2016 version of me I’d be here doing this 10 years later I wouldn’t believe you. Meaning if you’re anything like we Mantras may seem a little “woo woo” “ta loca” to some but they

3) Ginger Lemon Tea, Girl! Almost, I say A L M O S T because let’s keep it real here. I make a fresh Ginger Lemon hot tea first thing when I wake up. It’s so good for your digestive system.

4) a Gallon of Water a d a y! One of my homegirls from the Military called me a week into the new year and was yapping about how she’s drinking a gallon of water a day! I told her “Say Less! I’m already filling up my G L A S S Jug!” Add a pinch of salt to prevent from flushing out your vitamins and feeling fatigued. Keep it GLASSY because we’re not doing Microplastics. Also, for the record I’ve been using 92% of g l a s s ware in my everyday life since 2014. So ya’ll are late to the microplastics! LoL

5) Counting my Steps! 20K Steps during the week and on the weekends 10K Steps is the goal! A big real for this is because W A L K I N G is so good for the body and also a major de stressor. I have a high pressure 9-5 and so does my Husband so I am always looking for ways to decompress from the hectic work day/week.

So Chat, What are some habits you’re looking to build in 2026? Drop me a comment below!

Love always, Your UnPolished Bestie 🤙🏽XoXo, Stay Gold ✨

Redefine Success

It All Begins Here

Confidence doesn’t always arrive with a bold entrance. Sometimes, it builds quietly, step by step, as we show up for ourselves day after day. It grows when we choose to try, even when we’re unsure of the outcome. Every time you take action despite self-doubt, you reinforce the belief that you’re capable. Confidence isn’t about having all the answers — it’s about trusting that you can figure it out along the way.

The key to making things happen isn’t waiting for the perfect moment; it’s starting with what you have, where you are. Big goals can feel overwhelming when viewed all at once, but momentum builds through small, consistent action. Whether you’re working toward a personal milestone or a professional dream, progress comes from showing up — not perfectly, but persistently. Action creates clarity, and over time, those steps forward add up to something real.

You don’t need to be fearless to reach your goals, you just need to be willing. Willing to try, willing to learn, and willing to believe that you’re capable of more than you know. The road may not always be smooth, but growth rarely is. What matters most is that you keep going, keep learning, and keep believing in the version of yourself you’re becoming.

Ruby’s Diner at Balboa Pier

UnPolished Foodie

Everyone who knows me knows that I’m the ultimate foodie. I’m always driving hours to try a new trending food or over paying for top tier cuisine. Ruby’s Diner on Balboa Pier definitely pleased my platte. Which is shocking because I can’t say that for many restaurants now that I’ve moved back to the States after living abroad for 4 ½ years. For just an old style American Fast Food Diner this spot was bussin’ 😮‍💨 Check out the post to see what we ordered that had us so impressed.

So it was New Years Eve Eve and it was just Levi and I alone in the apartment. Abe was out of town for one more business trip before the New Year hit. I definitely didn’t think this Holiday through because I should of scheduled PTO but Levi was patient enough for me to finish my work day and I could tell by the look on his face he was tired of being in the apartment all day. So we jumped in the Tessy and headed down P C H for Ruby’s Diner at Balboa Pier located in Newport. This is the last diner out on a P I E R (insert screaming emoji)

SURPRISINGLY it amused my 6 year old. He was in complete AWE from the fishermen on the pier to the diner just sitting out ocean front. He tried some new foods for the first time and it made the experience even more magical. I feel like in 2026 the word F O O D I E doesn’t hold as much value as it did about 12 years ago but I am a huge FOODIE. I will literally drive for hours just to try something new. I honestly do this a lot less now that I have a family but anytime I can pull them onboard I’m so excited. But when I tell you that where ever you are reading the B L O G from Ruby’s Diner on Balboa Pier in Newport Beach is a must-try I mean it! It has to be the best Diner Food I’ve ever had and that means a lot considering I lived in the NJ for 7 years and they’re known for their diners.

Everything We Ordered

  • Fried Calamari (this was the best Calamari I’ve ever had!!!)

  • Chili Cheese Fries

  • Rootbeer Float

Besties, as promised I would start using my comment section more often in my posts. Thankfully, we finally made it happen. All it took was me sitting down and figuring out how to add them to my weekly blog posts. So let me know if you like this format or if you’ve been to Ruby’s Diner before and what did you order?!

more content is loading from our New Years and what we’ve been up. Until then Cheers and Happy New Year everyone!

Love always, Your UnPolished Bestie, Besos

Turn Intention Into Action
