She flew to Omaha.
Besties, if you follow me on IG: @unpolishedtheblog you’ll know from my stories that it’s been a busy Q4 Season for me at work! I recently had to fly out to Omaha Nebraska. I knew two things going into this trip one it was for work and two I have a BFF out there from when I was working in Germany who now lives in Omaha and we had a girls dinner scheduled to catch up with each other. But back to flying out to Omaha, I’m not a Mid-West Girly and I wasn’t really sure what to expect besides seeing corn fields out there but I was b l o w n away. First of all did any of you girls know they have an amazing food scene out there?! Being that I work in Denver I take a lot of business trips out to the Mid-West and my coworkers have been telling me for a while now how great Omaha is for food. But I didn’t know it was pretty much like visiting the New York City of the Mid-West out there. I have a few posts I’m going to give local resturants and cafes their own shout outs. But there’s also a few other stops I made that I wasn’t abe to capture anything while I was visiting but was still noteworthy in my book. TUPELO Honey, girls if you see one of these in your neighborhood go ahead and pull up in there cause girl that food is..WHEW, YES HUNNAY! It was giving Southern Food done right. Everything on the menu too I’ll vouch for it. It all hit, my coworker and I pulled up in there one night for dinner and we sampled quite a few things. Next, I had a girls dinner to catch up my BFF from Germany and we dined at Gather in Omaha. Hunnay that food was a TOP TIER dining experience. From the WINE LIST to the food that’s grown from their HYDROPONIC FARM. Old Market by the way it’s cute, charming and has multiple cute stores to pop into and offers a nice scenery for a good evening. After our dinner I walked around the park around the corner. But moving out to LOLA’S! Lola’s was my last stop before I flew back out to the Mile High City. I convinced my team to make a lunch stop here and it didn’t not disappoint our taste buds. Lola’s is actually inside Dundee Theater. It has a unique story to read more about Lola’s or see their menu click on the link at the bottom of this post.

Hummus Plate
Hummus with Sourdough Bread and Crudités. The fact they had veggies labeled as Crudités I knew I was in a good spot! It was simple yet tasteful. The entire table enjoyed the hummus.

Charcuterie Board.
It was a beautiful board that was plated with infamous cheeses and meats along with sugared almonds, mini pickles, butter, mustard and sourdough. It also was D E L I V E R E D on an aesthetic wooden serving board.
So let me know, Are you a “Chaca” Girlie or Not?!
