Flying to the Mile High City

Happy Friday Junior Girlies! It’s the first week in the new year and it’s also been a very jammed pack week for my household.

How has your week been post Holiday PTO?

I’m currently sitting in our semi bare apartment and it will be the last time it’s like this because tomorrow we will be flying back to the Mile High City to pick up all of our stuff from our storage unit! So, let me paint the picture for you since we have moved into our apartment we have been living out of suitcases. Upon arriving to LBC we immediately hit up a few spots to pick up furniture and essentials. This is our third move as a family and this has become our routine every time we move. I’m so thankful that we can finally settle into this apartment and make it feel more like home. So the plan is to rent a U-Haul and drive from Denver, Colorado to the LBC in the middle of J A N U A R Y! Please keep us in your positive thoughts and prayers for safe travels. We didn’t originally plan to move all of our stuff in January but things just kept changing as we got closer to our move date and this is where we are so here w e go! Happy New Year Girlies and I hope you all have a great weekend! I’ll be reporting back next week with updates from this cross country drive. (Insert Nervous Laughing Emoji)

Love Always, Your UnPolished Bestie, Besos 😘

Stay Gold ✨, XoXo

3 of my Moving Hacks

Courtney’s UnPolished Moving T I P S

1) Embrace the temporary S U C K let’s be UnPolished here MOVING is one of life’s major stressors. It is what it is, admit it and just keep it moving because there will be an end point.

2) Be patient and flexible. Every time we move we’re always trying to be as patient and flexible as possible because we know plans will change and we know things are going to come up that we weren’t expecting and there’s only so much we can control.

3) What to do in the W A I T I N G period. For us we always have a waiting period of beginning and middle where we’re going without most of our essentials. We never buy anything new..girl not in this ECONOMY. We always hit up Facebook Marketplace or a local thrift store for odd and end things. This just lets us keep our sanity until we get our household goods without costing us all of our coins. Everything you currently see in our apartment is from Facebook Marketplace Girl! Usually the day we arrive to our new location we’re already on FB Marketplace and coordinating pick up times for items.
