The Assignment is Hereeee!
After weeks of a roller coaster and waking up every morning looking over my husband shoulder for his assignment we can finally B R E A T H E Besties.
Assignments HEREEEEEE!
Last week Abe was out of town for a business trip and of course his assignment D R O P P E D the day he was coming home. And, of course he didn’t even tell me his assignment dropped until after he he had been home for 2Hrs. Mind you we started this tradition from our last assignment where Abe puts together a slideshow with hints for us to guess where we’re going for our next assignment. Amiga, this MAN took us to eat at a TX BBQ Restaurant to tell us we’re moving to California!!! I was really thrown for a loop by the restaurant setting and then the slideshow because I had no idea what was going on in that slide show. Every hint he gave us the Texan in me was stumped. The way the slide was playing out had me guessing it was somewhere in the South. I was like Oklahoma, Texas, Georgia??? What do I look like knowing some other states bird?? Hello, The Mockingbird is the only one that matters. Don’t ask me what your state tree is because I only know The PECAN Tree! Clearly I need a lesson on California. (insert laughing emoji) So, this Texas Girl is going to California!!!

Another week has gone by that I haven’t fixed the comments section on the blog. just be patience the UnPolished Maintenance Team is doing the best they can at the moment. TBH I was completely shocked because we have been talking about moving to California since 2023. We flew out to California one summer and Abe drove me down to San Diego as we were driving down Pacific Highway and I told him “oh this is exactly how I envisioned California to be when I was younger” I asked him “what do you think if we get an assignment here next? “ One thing about me is I’m a piesces (piesces gang tap in) and I stay DREAMING and Abe is always telling me to get real. So when I jokingly asked him about his next assignment being in California he said “impossible” Y E T.. here we a r e 3 years later announcing to the girlies that we are moving to California.
