Little Tokyo in LA Eats

Chat, if you follow me on TT @unpolishedtheblog8 than you know I was just in Little Tokyo in DTLA! This little Tejana was in complete AWE too! Mira, W H A T and where even are we right now! I was in LOVE and thankful all at the same time to have and share that experience with my boys. But if you want to know more about what that trip was like make sure that you go to my TikTok @unpolishedtheblog8 to catch my vlog! Also drop me a ❤️ if you’re coming from the BLOG so I can get to know you! 😉

Okayyyy, Let’s Yap about WHAT I ATE while we were in Little Tokyo in DTLA! First up was the Red Bean Cake also known as Imagawayaki and for those who are like ok, girl what is a Red Bean Cake. It’s pinto beans mixed with sugar in what I would described as a fluffy light bread cake. I didn’t grow up eating beans like that but I am so down for it. Literally y’all I’m like so when are we going back to Little Tokyo so I can get another Red Bean Cake. They’re made HOT N’ READY too! You know how Krispy Kreme claims they have HOT N’ READY Donuts but we all know they haven’t been living up to that slogan since 1999 😂. They’re the real deal!

MONZO • We decided to stay for dinner and I ended up doing a random google search for a ramen spot and landed on a a HandMade Udon Noodle Spot. It was a Michelin Star Restaurant called MONZO! This was our first Michelin Star Restaurant and we aren’t really Michelin Star People it’s not something we aim for when dining out. But this spot definitely lived up to the hype online and the wait time was about 15 minutes it’s a small spot and they accepted us walking up on a Sunday night. You can even sit at the bar where you can watch them hand-make the noodles. We even tried a Matcha IPA..W H A T LMK in the comments if you’ve had a Matcha IPA before please & thank you!

also can we talk about the fried chicken?! O M G I can never eat fried chicken anywhere else after this outing. TopTier

My Order:

Duck Nanban Udon

Matcha IPA

Octopus Balls

Fried Chicken (the side sauces/spices are everything)
