5 Things Millennial Girly
Besties,
It’s finally Friday and I can’t get Y2K off my brain this week! I just posted a reel on 5 things Y2K on TikTok @unpolishedtheblog8 check it out! But also what inspired this was, I just caught up on The Valley on BRAVO and the girls hosted a Y2K Girls Night and now I want to do an extended yap session on this weeks post. Let’s dive in shall we?
1) A Tattoo Choker • this was a special purchase from the Galleria Mall in DTX on one of my family shopping trips to the “big city” growing up. The store was ICING and if you don’t know what I’m talking about then let me land the plane! Icing was a more elevated Claire’s back in the day. The choker lived on my neck with and it had to go with every fit! 😆🫶🏽
2) The Inflatable Furniture Epidemic • 😆 I was so obsessed at one point I had convinced my parents I wanted everything in my room to be inflatable. I settled for an inflatable backpack and chair in my Room. The backpack was so tuff tho 🤏🏽✨ yellow with pink feathers inside the front of the backpack. E P I C
3) Black Mia Platform Slides • Obviously I didn’t really have MIAs b u t every girl had these even the dupes! They instantly elevated your lewk and made every fit look super chic! These shoes paired well with capris 🫶🏽
4) Black Long Skirt w/ the slit in the back • anyone else or just me? It always looked so chic when you were going for a dressed up look! It was wore on a weekly basis 😆
5) Butterfly Clips • these are so Y2K! But it’s how you styled them! For me it was always two on each side because I had a short bob and my part was down the middle. Then when I had long hair I would put it in top knot or we would call it a cheerleading bun and then I would clip one to hold the flyaways Or left over hair under the bun 😆
So Besties, let me know what was your 5 Y2K Items?!
Check Ya Later, XoXo
