Besties, I am so excited to D I S H to you all about how I got an invite to the +LUX UnFILTERED Galentines. Honestly, I’m just a girl and I’m such a girls girl and when I saw their Galentines announcement for the Re-Brand on IG I screamed!!! DRAMATIC much?! Maybe or maybe I’ve just been reading +LUX UnFILTERED T H E BLOG long before it was a Beauty Brand! Ya girl has been following Sivan Ayla SINCE 2 0 1 3 on IG and that was how I found her BLOG. So, that’s how I ended up screaming in my living room when I saw their Galentines Announcement. I immediately RSVP’d and received confirmation.

Here’s the UnPolished DISH behind me attending my first event as a BLOGGeR! First, the details behind my FIT! I had no idea what I was going to where and I currently have no makeup. Yes, I said that LoL! Mija, listen I’m budgeting for my retirement and I’m not apologizing about that. So I ordered an outfit from Amazon that did not deliver in time and without stressing I ran to my closet and picked out all the beige and browns I could find and committed to the fit. Then I drove to Ulta and picked up three items for makeup. If this was me in my 20s the storyline would of hit wayyyy different 😂
I waited in line for over an hour to get into this event. I ended up meeting someone standing in line who was attending alone too. We ended up hanging out the entire night and as I mentioned in my IG Stories (@unpolishedtheblog) I’m the New Girl in Town and it was just nice to have a chance to yap with another girlie! When we got into the event first of the AESTHETIC! The Girls ate down with this event. 😮💨 The entire night was based on the Re-Brand of their products. It was the perfect Galentines! They had tables to Yap, a bar with wine and sparkling waters and their collection to sample and shop. Mija, I was so overwhelmed at first I didn’t know where to start or what to do! Also, it’s the Mexican in me growing up I was always told to be on my best behavior before we went anywhere. 🤣 But, when I got in I was like do I vlog, photograph or take it all in?! Then I was so nervous I didn’t know if you could touch anything. lol I think I may have missed out on some aesthetic matches. But all in all the night was perfect!

Let me tell you how serious I am about their products. When I was living in Denver my skin was so scaley..gross I know but it’s so d r y out there. Her products were the only ones I could find that kept my skin nice and hydrated. I was so excited to sample the hand cream!

The box alone had me all googly eyed. I’m not going to lie I was so nervous at the event I didn’t go hands in on the lip tints but I know they’re solid!

Ok girls! I’ve been following Sivan on IG and reading +LUX UnFILTERED since then too. A time was had girlies! She was so genuine and sweet! I was really awe struck when you’ve been following someone for that long it really is surreal getting to meet them. Her BlOG is what inspired me to start my own. But of course I had to pull myself together long enough to pick her brain about the future of my writing. I’m so thankful she did not hold back and dropped some gems for me.
