UnPolished Closet Sale
Girls, I had a C L O S E T Sale! In case you missed me yapping about it on IG subtle plug @unpolishedtheblog if you’re not following then go ahead and hit the follow button now..I’ll wait for it 😉 no but really hit follow so I can follow back D U H!
So how did we get here?! Let s p i l l! As ya’ll know we just actually moved all of stuff from the Mile High City to South Bay LA 😝🤏🏽✨ and we went from a house to an apartment and mama had to clean out her Millenial Closet! Is there anything more sad than coming to the realization that you’re in your mid thirties and it’s time to reset your closet?! Because MIJA some of those clothes are from your twenties in that closet. (Sarcasm with facts) My sisters always tell me I’m a clothes hoarder so it was definitely time. I filled up to large bags of clothes and priced everything for a dollar. So it was a garage sale but make it CHIC&SAVVY call it a closet sale! And it wasn’t just any closet sale it was a Millennial Vintage Sale and everything was priced at $1.00 Mija! “Todo uno dolar” And because everything I do has to be fun and major even it’s meeting a small budget requirement I had a clothing rack, infused waters, Italian hard candies and a Bluetooth Speaker that Abe surprised me with the day of and it was beige of course! It was such a party and I had the chance to connect with some really cool locals and ended up emptying my first bag within the first two hours. The people I met were amazing and heard quite a bit of good T E A! The ages ranged to from early 20s to late 30s. Everyone L O V E D the infused water too. Which made my little heart so happy! Check out my TikTok for the details of the water @unpolishedtheblog8 . Other than having my clothing rack out, music, and yapping while drinking our infused waters I also had a questionnaire out for the locals asking questions like “Coffee or Matcha?” “Where is your favorite spot in the LBC” “Where would you recommend I visit in California?” Fun Questions like that and of course I had the cutest sign out with a QR Code for the B L O G and last there were complimentary UnPolishedtheBlog stickers for customers and other fun stickers that were out as freebies!
One thing about me is that it’s always been quality over quantity! I do spend some coins when it comes to my closet and that’s why my clothes last forever and I always repeat outfits! So I had clothes out from Nordstroms, Urban Outfitters, TopShop, LuLus, H&M, Zara’s, and then brands like Champion, Vans, Tori Burch, North Face, and Obey.
Gen Z • if there is anything I can leave you with is invest in your closet! In my twenties while all the girls were chasing cheap $10 dollar jeans from forever 21 and had new outfits every friday&saturday night we were out..I was saving my coins to splurge on my time capsule closet before it was even a thing on social media. That’s how my closet lasted me from my 20s into my 30s!
So, needless to say it was fun and I can’t wait to host another event within my SouthBay LA Community!

Stay Gold, Besos from SouthBay LA 😉
